Yong is global biopharmaceutical executive with extensive US and international leadership experience in creating value and developing, leading, and managing business. Extensive experience in building blockbuster brand and market leadership by shaping new product development, commercialization, business development, alliance management, and global market expansion from start-up to Fortune 100 companies.
Before relocated to Seoul, Korea , Yong worked at Wyeth Worldwide Headquarter, Collegeville, PA in USA for 11 years as the Assistant Vice President and Global Business Manager for the Zosyn/Tazocin and Infectious Disease franchise responsible for global P&L over $1.1Billion.
Yong led the global multifunctional team of marketing, sales, R&D, regulatory, medical, supply chain, finance, business development, and global operation from HQ and 100 affiliates, building Tazocin®/Zosyn® as the top-selling hospital antibiotics, growing sales three times faster than market for last five years and achieving 500% revenue growth over eight year period, from $200MM to $1.1B globally . Tazocin®/Zosyn® became one of the only two hospital antibiotic brands that reached annual global sales over $1 Billion ever in history. Yong initiated and led multifunctional team for the one of the most successful and innovative life cycle management of Tazocin®/Zosyn® generating multi billion dollars additional revenue.
Yong worked at Pharmacia & Upjohn Canada, Toronto, Canada, as Clinical Research Manager. Yong managed Oncology and Multiple Sclerosis clinical programs including Phase III clinical trials used for approval of Ellence® by US FDA. He managed Phase 1-II clinical programs of oncology drugs Tallimistin®, Toremifen®, Aromasin®, and Zinecard®. He was project leader of multifunctional team for development of two Multiple Sclerosis drugs.
Before he immigrated to Canada, Yong worked at Farmitalia-Carloerba (Adria Lab) Korea leading Oncology Business Unit and Business Development for 10 years.
As Adjunct Professor, Yong teaches courses in Global BioPharmaceutcial business management for graduate students at Sung Kyun Kwan University, Korea. He is a co-chairman of the Food & Agricultural Committee of AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce) Korea and a member of Seoul Economist Club.
Yong is a registered Pharmacist both in Korea and Ontario, Canada. Yong is an American citizen. He obtained BSc Pharmacy from Sung kyun kwan University, Seoul Korea. Yong received his MBA, focused on Finance and Strategic Management, from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Man-Wook Hur, PhD

Prof Man-Wook Hur, Ph.D. is a full professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Yonsei University School of Medicine (Seoul, Korea). He is a top notch scientist in Korea. He received his B.S. in pharmacy from Sungkyunkwan University, M.S. in Biological Engineering from KAIST (Seoul, Korea), Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Indiana University and Post-doctoral training in Yale University.
The research and development was funded by various grants. The National Research Laboratory Grant (2003-2008) and the preclinical research grant titled “Pre-clinical study of potent anti-obesity polypeptide” (2003-2006) were funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and the Ministry of Knowledge and Economics of the Korean government, respectively..
